Summer is officially in full swing and, therefore, we can head to the mountains for the beautiful wildflowers and beautiful beer!

Colorado Rockies or Outlaws Fourth of July (July 3rd – 4th)

There’s nothing that says summer like a good Fourth of July celebration.  And residents of Denver are blessed to not only have one post-game professional sports fireworks display, but three!  Two following the third and fourth games of the Rockies, and another one following the Outlaws game at Mile High on the fourth.  Get tickets today and enjoy the show!

Cherry Creek Arts Festival (July 6th – 8th)

Live bands, fireworks, and lots of art encapsulate the fun surrounding the Cherry Creek Arts Festival.  This entirely free event is perfect for filling a warm summer day in Denver.  While it is free, you may want to bring some cash to enjoy the food trucks, local restaurants, or indulge in some art shopping from local artists.

Breckenridge Summer Beer Festival (July 7th)

Taste a variety of beers such as the very local Breckenridge Brewery to the not so local Sapporo from Japan.  These 40+ breweries will keep your glass full as you get tipsy with altitude in one of the most beautiful mountain towns in Colorado.  Tickets vary in pricing and inclusions, so check out the ticket page to get the best option for you.

Crested Butte Wildflower Festival (July 6th – 15th)

You shouldn’t need much of an excuse to head to the nice mountain town of Crested Butte, but the Wildflower Festival will definitely fulfill that need regardless.  For over 30-years this celebration of wildflowers has taken place, offering guided hikes and walks, art workshops, photography classes, and so forth.  While there, be sure to hit up local favorite The Secret Stash for pizza.

Keystone Wine and Jazz Festival (July 14th – 15th)

One of our favorite events of the year is the Keystone Wine and Jazz Festival.  Why do we love it?  Because the River Run area in Keystone (that’s the main village at the base of the gondola) is perfect for folks who want to park the car and forget about it for the weekend.  With cozy restaurants and coffee shops, fun bars, and everything walkable the Wine and Jazz Festival really takes the Cakebread, offering hundreds of varieties of wine, and free music all weekend.
