Summer has ended, but Colorado falls are tough to beat.  Here are 5 Things to Do in Colorado in October 2016:

Great American Beer Festival in downtown Denver (October 6th-8th)

Colorado knows great beer. Where better to have the country’s largest beer festival each year? Each year, GABF represents the largest collection of U.S. beer ever served.

The downside is that this event sells out within an hour of listing tickets. Tickets typically become available on the secondhand market and some are already listed right around face value.

Jimmy Buffett at Red Rocks (October 13th)

Jimmy Buffett is a bucket list concert to see for any live music lover. Combine that with it being a rare visit to the greatest concert venue in the universe (Red Rocks). The concert is sold out, but you can still buy tickets secondhand.

Telluride Horror Show (October 14th- 16th)

The Telluride Horror Show is Colorado’s first and longest-running horror film festival. This festival attracts the best horror films from all over the world.

80’s Ski Party at Mile High Station in Denver (October 21st)

Relive the glory days of awesome ski wear. This is the 13th annual 80’s ski party, and it never fails to deliver. Tickets include music, beer, pizza and some amazing people watching. The event benefits First Descents. First Descents provides live-changing outdoor adventures for young adults impacted by cancer.

Breckenridge Craft Spirits Festival (October 21st – 23rd)

Colorado has more than its fair share of beer festivals. This is something a little bit different as it focuses on handcrafted spirits. The event features several great seminars, including Cooking with Spirits. Breckenridge is beautiful in the fall, but the weather can be unpredictable. It is a great time to hit Summit County for cheap lodging.

What did we miss?  Next month, we’ll be sending out November’s version of Great Colorado Events.
